The Mission

One last weekend
as a free man.

Hayden is marrying Meagan on March 1, 2027 — barefoot on Caribbean sand. Before the white linen, one weekend of smoke and fire: a whole hog on the pit, German lagers, brown liquor, and stories he'd rather we forget. Three days. One 10 square feet smoking pit. Zero adult supervision. You're on the list because you've earned a seat at the fire — show up hungry. (The actual wedding lives here.)

Battle Plan

I.The Weekend & The Meat

A 10 square feet smoking pit, running for 18 hours straight. The agenda on the left. What comes off the fire on the right.

Friday, Oct 2 • Evening

Fire Night

  • Roll in, crack the first cold one, claim your bunk
  • Light the pit — the brisket & pork butts go on for the overnight low-and-slow
  • Brats on the grill, fire pit, cigars, cards & poker
  • First round of “remember when” — the groom's history goes on trial
Saturday, Oct 3 • All Day

Oktoberfest & The Roast

  • Midday: convoy to Seedz Brewery, Union Pier — steins, Märzen & brats
  • Back to the house for THE ROAST — brisket, pulled pork & ribs come off the pit
  • The feast. Toasts. The official roasting of the groom.
  • Night: bonfire, brown liquor, and whatever games survive
Sunday, Oct 4 • Morning

Recovery

  • Smoked-meat breakfast hash & Bloody Marys
  • Reassemble dignity, pack up, hit the road

Brisket

Two whole packers, oak-and-cherry smoke, 1.5 hrs a pound. On Friday night, off Saturday evening.

Low & Slow

Pulled Pork

Beer-Friendly

Your other ticket in: ONE side dish that belongs next to roast pig or brisket — beans, slaw, cornbread, mac, whatever your house does best. Coordinate nothing. Chaos is the menu.
